Lunch Times

Mrs Hadley is our school who cooks all our school lunches on site in our school kitchen meaning fresh hot meals are served every day.

In the past we have won a customer service award, a bronze award and the highest Infant meals uptake award.

Our school meals are supplied by Derbyshire County Council Catering Service. Their website can be found at:

http://www.schoolmeals.derbyshire.gov.uk/

For children who pay for their meals, these are charged at a cost of £3.25 per day. If children are eligible for universal free school meals or free school meals they will receive their meals for free each day.

Children also have the option to bring in a packed lunch from home. Please ensure no fizzy drinks or sweets are included in their lunch boxes. The lunch boxes are stored on the lunch trolley until lunch time, we do not have the capacity to store lunchboxes in a fridge.

Children are expected to show good table manners at lunch time as well as being polite and following the lunch hall rules. Children are recognised each Friday for their consistent positive behaviour at lunch times that week when a child from each year group is chosen to sit on the 'gold table' at lunch time.

Recently we have also introduced a daily competition between the lunch tables, with the winning table at the end of each term enjoying an extra play time. We have also introduced termly certificates for children who show consistent good behaviour and kindness at lunch times.

Our midday supervisors are Mrs Kevern & Miss Carpenter and our lunchtime playleader is Miss Leonard. They supervise all of the children throughout lunchtime both in the dinner hall and when they go outside for play. Activities are rotated each lunch time to ensure all children are able to do things they enjoy throughout the week. We also have a fantastic new trim trail for the children to use during outdoor play.
