Community Food Bank

We have developed strong community links through our community / school food bank support. Surplus food is donated to the school through the neighbourly scheme. We have a food bank which is open daily and accessed by the school community and neighbourhood. We work very closely with Aldi and Lidl to support this project. 

We are also involved in providing the seasonal entrance displays for Aldi Somercotes.

Local Church

We have links with St Leonards Church In Shirland and Reverend Aron also visits our school. We take part in the Christmas Tree Festival at the church with children making decorations for a tree to be displayed at the festival and families encouraged to attend to see the work that the children have done.

Greggs Foundation

We are able to offer all of our children breakfast for free at the beginning of each school day due to the funding we receive from The Greggs Foundation. Please see the link below to read more about their work.
