Hello, my name is Alice and it was my idea to start the Eco Club. I began by writing to Mrs Whitby (see above). Once it was agreed, I talked to my class about my ideas. We now have fourteen members of the club and we are hoping to grow. So far, we have bought litter pickers and now regularly pick litter around the school grounds. Next, we want to go beyond the school boundary to do some litter picking in the community. We have also put compost boxes in each classroom, so we can make use of our waste food. We are also getting monitors to switch lights and others power sources off to save energy.

At the moment, we are running a competition to design logos.

Mrs Kevern is also going to try to buy more resources made from recycled materials, starting with certificates.
