Supporting our school and community

Greggs Foundation and The Bank of England Breakfast Club Support

We are extremely lucky to be supported to provide a healthy breakfast for all our children through support from Greggs Foundation. We are proud that our school is sponsored by the Bank of England to fund our breakfast provision.

Greggs provide fresh bread which is collected on a weekly basis for our children.

Breakfast for our children consists of a variety of offers including fresh and dried fruit, scrambled eggs, baked beans, toast, cereal, yoghurt, cheese, croissants, pancakes and other seasonal favourites. We usually offer  milk, milkshake, water and juice to drink and sometimes hot chocolate on cold mornings.

Aldi and Neighbourly

We are very lucky to be supported by Aldi and the Neighbourly scheme. This enables us to offer free food for our school community. The food is offered on a daily basis and forms a 'food bank' service. The aim is to reduce waste while ensuring that no-one goes hungry. The service is free for everyone to access.

At Easter Aldi provided Easter eggs for all our children. This generous donation was well received at the start of the pandemic and brought chocolate treats for our children.

Christmas Hampers

This year we have been very fortunate to secure funding from Greggs foundation to make hampers for all our families. The hampers will be given to our families before the Christmas holidays and provide food and treats for the festive period. We would like to thank Greggs  Foundation and Aldi Alfreton for their continued support in funding the project and helping to arrange the food deliveries.
